LIfe experiences #4: Independence

It's been just a little more than 6 months since I've arrived in Glasgow looking blotchy and exhausted from the 14 hours flight + another 3 hour transit. It's amazing how fast time flies and how much I've come to know about myself so much more and the way I handle my problems (not very maturely I admit as it majorly involves quite a bit of OTT expression + rants to my closest of friends) but hell, for an independent first-timer I'm doing much better than I expected. I've never slept alone back in Malaysia well.. simply cause I'm afraid of things that go bump in the night but I'm able to walk around the house at 3am and feel nothing over here. Glasgow has definitely become my home away from home.

What still amazes me up to know is the fact that I can throw words like 'Paris, Amsterdam and London' in my conversations and it feels so surreal. If anyone were to ask me what was the best thing that happened to me up to date, it's definitely having the chance to study independently overseas in UK. I have to admit things are much easier considering I have close friends all around me so I'm never truly alone plus the support of my girls back at home, Aus & even in the UK. Knowing you've got someone by you when you truly need it is the best of all :)

So mummy, thanks for sending me here and don't worry about me cause I'm doing okay. I might not be able to handle everything but eventually I'll manage through it and before you know it, I'll be home xx
