This post is extremely excruciating to type since not only did it happen MONTHS ago but being single (I had only gotten out of a relationship weeks before that) and going to the most romantic city in the world actually hurts.
HAHAHA. Yeah right.
Honestly the only thing 'romantic' about Paris is the very 'refreshing' odour you get everywhere, the stale muddy waters of Seine River and the uncomfortable glimpse of PDA(public display of affection for you noobs) couples frenching left and right. Yes, I know I sound bitter but I'm just honestly telling you what it's like from my POV but if you ever go with a romantic partner, I like to believe any destination can be romantic if you make it to be so don't fret, it still is the city of love. But otherwise the architecture, art, scenery is to die for if you're wanting to immerse yourself in their culture!
Well, the good news about this post is that you won't have to see my narcissistic face in most of the pics cause you know, I'm super shy and all that. Hardyharhar
Mini train tickets the size of 2 fingers. You can get a booklet of 10 t-tickets for abt €10-11 to travel around town. The one I'm holding is actually from the airport to the city center
This trip was extremely special to me for 2 things:
a) I'm 21 years old and this is my first ever Disneyland adventure
b) I love the Louvre. Going for art lessons every Saturday since I was 7 till I was 15 (though, I admittedly have NO talent), it's like a dream come true not just admiring the paintings/sculptures but the design of the building itself *faints*

La Basilique du Sacre Ceour de Montmantre ie. the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Montmantre. A majestic and magnificent (slightly oversized) Roman Catholic church.
Not sure how many of you are Disney fans cause if you're not one, I'm not sure how are we still friends at this point kiddingggg because the next pic is Notre Dame Cathedral. Ring any bells? (haha geddit? it's a pun based on Quasimodo)
Followed by the original love-lock bridge just next to the cathedral and ending my first day of Paris with a beautiful night view from the highest peak of the Eiffel Tower. Let me just warn you, we went somewhere in Aug(which was still summer supposedly) and bloody hell it was still cold with crazy winds so don't be fooled thinking it'll be warm if you ever thought of traveling at the same time as I did cause boy, was I wrong!
The entrance to the cathedral so bloody huge, I couldn't even capture all of it from a distance

The wonderful company I had for 3 nights and for the rest of my year in UK <3
Do I rly need to caption this or are you blind? o.o
The view from atop the highest floor
Every 20 mins, if I remember correctly, a brilliant light show comes on. Well actually, it's just co-ordinated blinking lights but trust me it'll take your breath away as it did for me
And so the next day began, looking for new adventures on Champs Elysees (pronounced schanz-ah-lee-zay) the shopping street of Paris *queue emoji with hearts as eyes* but no, I didn't get anything here. Don't worry jie, I'm still sticking to the budget -.-
This is where most people come to look for their branded items but as for me, I came for only one thing: macarons in the form of Laduree & Pierre Hermes which is said to be right opposite each other but yeah, I was too happy just enjoying my first round of macarons I actually forgot about the latter (which I will be planning to visit in London next month so stay tuned!)

Arc de Triomphe @ one end of Champs Elysees(ie. shopping street!) I know I'm chubby. Let's not bring that up RAWR.
omg, just want to eat EVERYTHING on display
Pistachio, rose, chocolate gateau, orange blossom, praline & vanilla
Let me just tell you this, if you've tasted enough sucky macarons with total crap flavourings and you're thinking 'eww, rose-flavoured dessert?' - you.are.so.wrong. This is the most amazing flavour ever. In fact, every single one tasted so damn good, I'm literally just salivating while writing this post. Why am I even doing this to myself? #smacksforehead

Tuileries Garden
Finally, after a long day of walking from the start of Champs Elysees through the Tuileries Garden, I reached my long-time dream of visting the Louvre.
Rly, you still want me to caption sth so obvious? o.o
Honestly, I was obsessed over this sculpture(Psyche&Cupid read here:goo.gl/nKdJwl) more than anything else in The Louvre except perhaps The Last Supper as a Dan Brown fan myself and re-reading Da Vinci Code too many times to understand the symbology within the art.
& then there's Venus de Milo- another sculpture which still haunts me after learning about it from my childhood weekly art classes.

Lovely dinner just a street away from The Louvre
The ever-friendly boss of the restaurant who kept trying to speak French to us which usually we respond in polite smiles and laughs :)
The next day was a fun-filled exhausting kiddy trip to none other than DISNEYLAND ZOMGWTFBBQ SOHAPPYCANDIE. I don't show it very often but I LOVE everything Disney though I didn't get to enjoy much till at a later age. Everything from their fairytales&short mickey mouse segments to their music composition has to be just asjfklhsaha I'm sorry but I rly have no words for it so please excuse my articulation or more like lack thereof. I'll just let the pics speak for themselves!
Typical Msian girls hogging the entire bench while otp.
The best part of the entire trip was the ending where I was just mesmerized for 45 mins by fireworks, laser lights & waterworks. It was just such a pure coincidence the Disney Dreams show was on as we were on our trip as it is their 20th anniversary this year and they decided to put on such a spectacular show :)
It's not something describable but rather you just have to witness it with your own eyes!
& yes we spent one entire day just walking around Disneyland, that's how huge the area was! There are so many more pictures I would love to share but hey, I've got a whole album dedicated to my trip on facebook so I'm not going to spam one blogpost with pictures cause you know I'm so considerate like that Teehee
And finally our last day(honestly, I'm just thankful to finish off writing this post cause it's just too exhausting), we went back to the Eiffel Tower to get a morning view of it. Unfortunately, the clouds covered the tip of the tower so we had to stand there like idiots with our camera ready waiting for the clouds to pass and spamming our shutter button to find the perfect pic :)
Oh yes and if you're looking for branded items and you don't mind taking a trip, there's always La Vallee Village, an outlet mall or street mor elike where you can get most of your Parisian brands & more at a reduced price.
Yeap, you can guess where my money went :p Loving the arcade-themed buildings along the street which is also another plus point of visiting the place.. if you can find it. We walked around in circles thinking it was easy to find asking a million people how to get there so please don't make the same mistake as I did and actually try looking for it BEFORE reaching there!
Haha & that basically summed up my 4 days in Paris. If you spend wisely and book early I daresay £350 is definitely sufficient! Now do look forward to my post on either Amsterdam or my recent journey to Nottingham Games+Bristol cause you get to see more lovely pictures of my face. #narcissistictothemax
I'm leaving you the last pic of my 'roti canai' which we had in Paris before leaving for home because.. well.. I can and you can't say nothing about it.
